Rob, does walmart really believe this is going to work at a strategic level? they can't sustain billions in sales and operating cost with small stores. it sounds like some walmart guys trying to keep their jobs for as long as possible and believing their own novel is not fiction. walmart isn't really making any money in their neighborhood markets. the culture of the company is set up to have stores doing $50 mil to $100 mil. they will acknowledge that.
Has anyone seen a P&L? No margin with limited seasonal merchandise. High amount of spoilage in produce. Expensive real estate and expensive build out. Big box labor model doesn't fit. Keep trying!
